The EDX-9000TUR automatic sample-feeding energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer is available in both helium-filled and vacuum configurations. Equipped with an automatic sample-feeding system capable of handling ≥10 samples, it is ideal for high-throughput sample testing, offering convenience and speed while significantly reducing labor and time requirements. It features excellent stability, fast and accurate analysis, low operating costs, and easy operation and maintenance. It is suitable for qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of various elements and can perform semi-quantitative detection of major, minor, trace, and ultra-trace elements in most sample types, including solids, granules, powders, fusible discs, films, and liquids.
Key advantages include:
- The sample introduction system features an automatic sample changer with ≥10 positions, making it suitable for high-throughput sample testing. It supports unattended analysis with automatic data storage.
- Rotary control system utilizing the latest high-efficiency motors to ensure precise positioning at every location. The turret can automatically calibrate to zero and rotate clockwise or counterclockwise for testing. Different turrets are configured for different sample types: a 12-position turret for fusion samples and a 10-position turret for pressed samples. Dedicated automatic sample loading software provides visual feedback and displays the testing progress.
- The helium-flushing system features fully automatic helium-flushing and cleaning functions, ensuring fast, thorough cleaning with no dead zones and convenient operation. Helium flushing minimizes the impact of air on light element testing, significantly improving detection limits for light elements while expanding the detection range. After sample testing is complete, the system performs low-flow helium flushing to ensure sufficient helium remains in the chamber. Users can freely choose whether to perform helium purging, as well as set the purging and compensation times, according to their actual needs. The standard window design features a user-friendly interface and simple operation.
- The vacuum system is a fully automatic vacuum pump system with excellent performance characteristics, including low vibration, low noise, self-protection, and fast pumping speed. It minimizes the impact of air on light element testing, improves detection limits for light elements, and expands the detection range. Optimized gas path and structural design ensure stable vacuum levels.
- The filter-collimator system minimizes interference in the X-ray path, ensuring accurate signal reception by the detector. The automatic collimator switching module offers three aperture sizes (8mm, 6mm, and 4mm) and supports customization; the automatic filter switching module allows for the selection and switching of six types of filters, enabling the free combination of up to a dozen different collimators and filters.
- The instrument features a fully enclosed bell-shaped design to prevent radiation leakage. The protective cover, limit switches, and X-ray tube high-voltage system are interlocked to prevent injuries from accidental operation. Innovative lighting strip design distinguishes between active and idle states, while multiple safety measures—including software error alerts, a three-dimensional maze-style frame design, and mechanical isolation safety locks—ensure operator safety.
- The analysis software features a graphical user interface that intuitively displays instrument status and alarm information. Operation is simple and intuitive, requiring no specialized personnel. It offers fully automated analysis capabilities, completing tests and generating results with a single click. The software is available in both Chinese and English with free upgrades, and data reports can be displayed in three standard formats or customized as needed.
Equipped with an imported electrically cooled FASTSDD detector and a dedicated amplification circuit module, the system detects and amplifies characteristic X-rays from samples to collect data. Its large-area window increases the signal reception area, providing a robust foundation for precise detection.
