Create Analytical Instrument showcased its X-ray fluorescence analyzer at the Changxing Refractory Materials Conference.
The 9th Three-times Council Meeting of the China Refractory Materials Industry Association and the Industry Development Exchange and Discussion Conference were held in Changxing, Zhejiang Province. This conference brought together representatives from refractory materials and related upstream and downstream enterprises to discuss topics such as industry development trends and market operation conditions. Create Analytical Instrument, as a manufacturer of spectroscopic analysis equipment, was invited to attend this conference and demonstrated the up-conversion X-ray fluorescence analyzer during the event.
The meeting analyzed the operation situation of the refractory materials industry in 2025. The data showed that the industry as a whole was in a stage of adjustment. The output of refractory materials products decreased year-on-year, and the market demand was significantly affected by the downstream industries such as steel and non-ferrous metals. In the steel industry, the output of crude steel showed a downward trend, and the industry was in a stage of reduction and development, which had a direct impact on the demand structure of refractory materials. Meanwhile, the non-ferrous metals industry maintained a relatively stable growth trend, with the output of ten types of non-ferrous metals exceeding 80 million tons, providing another part of the market demand for refractory materials. This differentiation trend in the downstream industries requires refractory material enterprises to pay more attention to quality control and cost management.
In the exhibition area set up for the conference, Create Analytical Instrument showcased an up-conversion X-ray fluorescence analyzer. This device is capable of rapidly analyzing various elements in refractory materials, such as alumina, magnesia, and silicates, which are key components. The detection method of the X-ray fluorescence spectrometer is non-destructive, and during the measurement process, it does not alter the chemical state of the sample. It is suitable for quality verification of finished products and semi-finished products. For refractory material enterprises, the stability of the raw material composition directly affects the performance of the end products. Therefore, the accuracy and efficiency of the detection process are particularly important. The staff at the exhibition stand interacted with the attending representatives, introduced the operation process from sample preparation to data reading of the equipment, and shared technical experience regarding common detection requirements in the refractory material industry.
During the meeting, the experts also analyzed the operational trends of downstream user industries such as steel and non-ferrous metals. Some opinions suggested that the refractory materials industry is closely interdependent with the steel industry. The improvement of the operating environment of the steel industry will be beneficial to the healthy development of the refractory materials industry chain. Through participating in this meeting, Create Analytical Instrument further understood the actual needs of the refractory materials industry for testing technologies, and also established closer connections with all parties in the industry chain. In the future, Create Analytical Instrument will continue to improve the product system of spectral analysis equipment, providing technical support for quality control and industrial upgrading in the refractory materials industry.
